Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service available to the entire CSS community. This service allows you to receive materials not owned by the CSS library from another library. Books, DVDs, and other materials are sent to the CSS Library for you to borrow and return. Distance users can opt to have items shipped to them by selecting "Home Address." Articles are scanned and sent to your CSS email.

This service is important because the CSS Library does not have access to all materials you may need and not all articles are available in full text.

A couple of helpful things to know about ILL:

  • Articles and book chapters are delivered electronically to your CSS email.
  • Most articles are delivered within 4 business days, but delivery depends on the availability of the material and the speed of processing at the lending library.
  • Due dates are variable - each lending library sets its own due dates and policies.
