TO SEARCH THE NYTBR FROM 1985 TO THE PRESENT -

a). Log in to Academic Search Premier.

b). Choose advanced search.

c). In the first search box type "new york times book review" - directly to the right is another search box with "select a field (optional)" Use the drop down arrow to change that to "SO journal name"

d).  In the second (lower) tier of search boxes, type your search term in the left-hand box

e). Click on search

TO SEARCH THE NYTBR PRE-1985, you can use Historical New York Times.

a).  Choose advanced search

b).  In the first search box, type "br" - directly to the right is another search box with "citation and document text." Use the drop down arrow to change that to "page."

c).  In the second (lower) tier of search boxes, type your search term in the left-hand box

d). Click on search.

The CSS Library offers full-text access to the NYTBR from its first issue in 1896 to the present.
