Q. how do I insert a chart document in landscape format as appendix

The way that I figured out how to do that is by inserting a section break (as opposed to a page break) at the bottom of the page that is still vertical. Then you are able to change the page orientation to landscape to insert the chart and at the end of that page you can insert another section break and change the orientation back to vertical.
