Are you supposed to use two spaces after every period on the reference list page? As in, "Wilson, J. (2007). A guide to computers...."

(You can't see but there are 2 spaces after "...J." and after "...7).")

Answer

According to Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition -

"4.01  Spacing After Punctuation Marks

Insert one space after

  • commas, colons, and semicolons;
  • periods that separate parts of a reference citation; and
  • periods of the initials in personal names (e.g., J. R. Zhang)."  (pp. 87-88).

So, it looks like one space is the answer.
