How do I cite on line supplement for textbook?

Answer

Good question! This question is answered a bit differently depending on what citation style you are using. I will answer it for both MLA and APA as those are the most common. If you are using a style other than those, please email back and we can help you with that.

For either format, I think you should cite this using the ebook example as you retrieved the information online. As it is a supplement, you may be missing some information such as an author, but these web pages to which I am referring you do have help for those variations.

MLA:  To cite a book in your Works Cited page, here is a link to see an example and an explanation for all the parts: http://libguides.css.edu/content.php?pid=61895&sid=455193 At the end of the citation, you would put Web instead of where Print is.

APA: To cite an electronic book in your Works Cited page, here is a link to see an example and an explanation for all the parts: http://libguides.css.edu/content.php?pid=61826&sid=454613

Hopefully this helps. Please email back if you have any further questions.

Good luck!
