How do I site a research brief from a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization?

Some things you don’t have to worry about in citing sources, such as whether an organization is nonprofit or not. APA just wants to know who the author is.
In this case it is a bit tricky. On one level, using the organization as the author would make more sense in that it would be more apparent to the reader that the paper is coming from an organization which can lend “authority.” However, since there are named individuals, I would lean to using their names. APA won’t allow for both.
For the form, we can use the example of 31. Corporate author, or government report, found on p. 205 of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th edition.
The report description/number is added in parentheses after the title. So, your citation would look like this -
