How do I cite a stock image from Creative Commons?

I have a photo of a puppy I want to use!  Yeah, it's a stock image, but it's still a puppy!

Answer

The APA horse as spoken on this one, so there is no need for me to try and improve on the words that have come out of the horse's mouth.*

Use this link from the American  Psychological Association's guide to citing Clip Art or Stock Image References.

*The earliest entry for "straight from the horse's mouth" in the OED is ... "1928   P. G. Wodehouse in Strand Mag. Aug. 114/1   The prospect of getting the true facts—straight, as it were, from the horse's mouth—held him ..fascinated."  Of course, this does not explain why we should trust the horse.
