Q. I am looking for statistics on the homeless population of the United States.

The Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) estimates the homeless population based on its Continuum of Care (CoC) Program. This is done through its PIT (Point-in-Time) count done in January. It also includes a count of homeless veterans.
