Q. How do I get articles on early reading or emergent reading?

I would recommend either our all encompassing database SOLAR  or else a specific database dedicated to education - Education Index.

As far as subject terms to try searching, early reading and emergent literacy seemed to be on target for SOLAR. I looked in the thesaurus in Education Index, and it also lists emergent literacy as a subject term. Early reading is not a subject term although some articles have it in their titles, so it is found as a keyword. Subject terms that are related are reading (Preschool), reading (Kindergarten) and reading (Primary).
