Head to our psychology database menu at:

Now ...

a).  Login to PscyhInfo

b).  When you are in PscyhIfno, choose "advanced search" [link located under search box].

c).  In the advanced search screen, enter psychotherapy in upper left search box (your cursor should be there already).

d).  In the box directly below (middle box, left-hand side) enter depression.

e).  Click on search. You should retrieve approx. 14,000 results.

f). In the left hand light blue column there is an option to "refine results." Just below the date slider bar is a link for "show more." Click on it.

g).  You will now get a pop-up menu of limiting options. Choose these

- linked full-text
- Age Group - adulthood
- English
- Population Group - female
- document type - journal article
- Methodology - empirical study

h. Now click on search.

This should yield about 1200 full-text research articles on women and depression and psychotherapy.

If you move your cursor over the little magnifying glass/folder icon it will pop up the article's abstract for you.

At this point I would browse the results and see what works. These should be displayed with the most current articles first.

Good luck.
